Relax, renew, indulge

The spa world’s best and brightest will be on hand to take part in the show, showcasing the latest innovative tips and tricks that will have you looking and feeling your best. You’ll leave feeling like a whole new person.

“We thought it sounded like a fun venue, and they’ve got some fun new ideas,” Allie Blazzard, of Riverside Medical Arts, said. “I’ll be there doing Botox, Dysport and fillers all day long. Some of our aestheticians will also be there offering aesthetic services like waxing and makeovers.”

Blazzard said Riverside Medical Arts will be doing Botox at the show for $9 per unit and will also be offering $100 discounts on fillers. They will additionally have discounts on laser hair removal, photofacials, microdermabrasion and chemical peels and will hold drawings and giveaways for services and products. She added there may also be additional incentives and discounts from their reps, and Riverside Medical Arts will be promoting new skincare lines recently acquired by their spa, including SkinMedica.

“We’ll be offering specials on just about everything,” Blazzard said.

Have some fun

Wood Creations will offer a make-and-take area at the expo for ladies to complete projects with their kids or friends. Their dry and finished projects will be waiting for them to pick up and take home after they’ve indulged in shopping and exploring the expo.

Rowdy’s Range will also be offering attendees a different kind of fun with laser gun target shooting.

Tantalize your taste buds

Culinary specialist and home economist Kristi Larson will bring her passion for food, sharing new ideas for fresh ways to prepare sumptuous dishes at the Taste of Home Cooking School, where students can indulge in free samples and gourmet tastings.

“This is only the third time that I’m aware of that Taste of Home has hit St. George,” Ultimate Girls Day Out event organizer Marie Bowcut said, “and we attract people from California, Arizona, Nevada – they will come to St. George because Taste of Home is a big thing.”

Taste of Home students can expect to see 10 recipes demonstrated in about two-and-a-half hours, with lots of prizes given away during the live show, including 10 dishes made by Larson on stage and new tips, tricks and kitchen gadgets. Attendees will leave with the coveted Taste of Home gift bag, stuffed with magazines, coupons, samples and a free subscription to either Taste of Home or Healthy Cooking magazine.

Hello Troll. As a (insert religion of your choice that you despise here), I am excited for an expo that will have countless boutiques (for your benefit: a boutique is a small, often temporary shop of one-of-a-kind off-market, non-mainstream items for sale) because St. George, in case you didn’t know, is a bit of a literal fashion desert. I don’t care about following trends or looking like a Barbie doll but I am ECSTATIC at the thought of finding a one-of-a-kind purse, or maybe a hair clip, or yes, maybe even an article of clothing. It doesn’t mean I’m superficial.

Shut up, listen to your husband, have eight kids, and take your meds. We all know “what women want” around here. Call me a troll, call me ignorant, call me whatever you want, just don’t say that I’m not observant.

I’m excited this expo will be offering actual services and interactive projects, not just advertising and sales. The one criticism I have is the promotional picture. I am not a 19 year old, 100 pound girl with money to spend. I would like to see other age groups and sizes represented to entice me to spend my money at a place I will fit in at. We also have a significant Native and Hispanic population here, too. Especially with a major sponsor offering botox, where are the pictures of the lovely silver haired ladies?
