MOHAVE COUNTY, Ariz. – Traffic has been backed up on southbound Interstate 15 in the Virgin River Gorge in Mohave County, Arizona, Wednesday evening as responders clear up an accident at mile marker 19, near Cedar Pocket.
Arizona Department of Public Safety Sgt. John Bottoms was not on scene at the accident but said he understands a vehicle lost a piece of lumber and a following car swerved to miss the lumber and crashed.
The accident blocked the left traffic lane just north of Cedar Pocket.
As of 6:20 p.m., responders were waiting for a tow truck to arrive and remove the crashed car, Bottoms said.
