ST. GEORGE — Casey Jones, horticulturist and curator for the gardens at the Tonaquint Nature Center will teach a workshop titled “Lawn Alternatives,” Saturday at 10 a.m.

The Washington County Water Conservancy District offers more than 20 workshops throughout the year for homeowners. These workshops teach about appropriate landscapes and managing landscapes to minimize outdoor water use.
This workshop is free and open to anyone interested in changing out their lawn areas to something requiring less maintenance and less water. It will be held in the lower level of the Washington County Water Conservancy District, located at 533 E. Waterworks Drive, St. George.
