Santa Clara Swiss Days celebrates ‘Cowboy Way of Life’

SANTA CLARA – Put on your dirndls and warm up your yodeling chords, it’s that time of year again for the City of Santa Clara’s annual Swiss Days event, now in its 26th year.

Taking place in the heart of Santa Clara, come out and enjoy the “Cowboy Way of Life” Thursday through Saturday as the city celebrates 155 years of pioneering heritage.

This three-day festival is sure to have a little something for everyone. Events include a 5K run/walk, pancake breakfast and a parade showcasing America’s muscle and classic car era with imaginative homemade floats.

The weekend will host a plethora of live entertainment including a free concert by Eric Dodge Friday at 8 p.m., local food and merchandise vendors, children’s pioneer activities and town heritage displays. For a detailed schedule of events, click here.

Residents and businesses in Santa Clara should be aware that Santa Clara Drive will be closed during different hours of the day Friday and Saturday morning for the 5K run/walk and the parade. Because of the temporary road closures, shuttles will be running from the different events Friday and Saturday.
