ST. GEORGE — Due to another rockfall, Zion National Park officials have closed the Hidden Canyon Trail for the third time in less than two months.
Park officials tweeted news of the closure Tuesday, but the announcement did not say when the trail might be reopened.
“The East Rim trail remains open from Weeping Rock to Observation Point,” the tweet read.
Last month, Hidden Canyon Trail was closed twice due to rockfalls – on July 2 and July 21 – but the popular trail was reopened a few days later in both instances.

So many damn tourists now, as a local you cannot even enjoy it without waiting in line for a hour or more at 7am to get on the mandated shuttles…and the so called “off season”? The Park Rangers all say that is long gone, attendance continues to climb all through the winter months…so who cares, close the damn trails all down as long as you want
