ST. GEORGE — A male suffering from a gunshot wound was dropped off Monday morning at the Dixie Regional Medical Center emergency room by an unidentified driver of a black Cadillac Escalade.
Following dropping off the man at approximately 5:15 a.m., the driver of the Escalade immediately drove away.
The man stated that the gunshot wound was self-inflicted and that he had taken meth and marijuana prior to the incident, St. George Police Officer Tiffany Atkin said.
The bullet grazed the man’s thigh and went through his knee. The wound is not life threatening, Atkin said, and he is currently still hospitalized. The man is from Las Vegas and is in his late 30s.
The incident is still under police investigation. No further information is known about the driver of the Escalade at this time.

Guns and methadrine do not mix unless you go back to WW2 and your in the German SS and have been up for 3 days fighting on tbe frontlines. Thank the Nazis. (historically true by the way, and add Doc Martin boots to the equation as well) If he was on pot only, the current outcome would have been averted unless he shot himself on purpose to get a prescription of Oxycotin. So confusing nowadays to figure these things out. Sigh
Put a band-aid on it and send him with a one way ticket back to Vegas.
People that keep track of what times others post on St George news should maybe do some volunteer work to occupy their time and find something productive to do.
Next time I need to take a friend to the ER, it’s nice to know I can just shove them out the door and drive off!
