ST. GEORGE — As winter starts to fade and clear, sunny skies emerge, so returns the annual Soup N’ Bowl fundraiser.

This highly anticipated and unique event is set for March 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. George Art Museum, located at 47 E. 200 North, generating funds for the museum’s permanent art collection.

“The annual Soup N’ Bowl fundraiser is more than just a fundraising event; it’s a celebration of art, community and a shared passion of fine art,” Melissa Carter, St. George Art Museum manager and curator said in a news release issued by the city. “Participants can sit outside on a beautiful afternoon and enjoy a delicious lunch of soup, bread and dessert —  in a handcrafted bowl of your choice. Also, experience live music, locally made goods and the chance to explore the St. George Art Museum.”

Tickets can be purchased online or in person at the art museum, Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The bowls were created Jan. 26, at the St. George Recreation Center during the Community Pot Throw. These one-of-a-kind bowls were generously crafted and donated by community members and local potters.

“Seize the moment, secure your tickets and help support our permanent art collection,” Carter added. “The very best bowls usually go quickly, so plan on arriving a little bit early.”

During Soup N’ Bowl, there will be a silent auction that includes exciting packages from local businesses as well as a musical performance from the Vista School Advanced Orchestra.

Event sponsors include: Zions Bank, Lin’s Grocery Store at Mall Drive, Mary’s Mountain Cookies, Be Hot Yoga, Dixie Direct, Cliffside Restaurant, The Harry Bertoia Foundation, The Pizza Factory, Virgin River Naturals, Feel Love Coffee, Sakura Japanese Steakhouse and Longhorn Steakhouse.
